Director of Programs and Partnerships

Key Responsibilities

We are entering an exciting stage of growth — expanding programs, diversifying our funding model, and exploring national reach. This role is ideal for someone who has nonprofit experience, thrives in a startup-like environment, and wants to eventually lead a mission-driven organization. We’re hiring a Director of Programs & Partnerships who will take the lead on three critical areas:

Programs & Impact

  • Lead and be accountable for the execution of our programs (e.g., retreats, grants, events) in partnership with the Executive Director

  • Evaluate program outcomes and participant feedback to drive improvements

  • Explore new offerings to expand our reach (virtual, national, or peer-led models)

Fundraising & Development

  • Drive revenue and awareness through partnerships and diverse funding sources: grants, individual donors, events, sponsorships

  • Collaborate on annual fundraising events and campaigns

Strategic Operations

  • Support budgeting, tracking, and operations alongside the Executive Director and board

  • Create internal systems that support sustainable growth

  • Help shape the organization's strategic plan, communications, and culture

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and/or program development

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising — including grant writing, donor stewardship, and/or partnership development

  • Experience scaling programs or organizations, ideally with diversified funding sources

  • Strong strategic and operational skills, including budgeting, systems development, and team coordination

  • Lived or professional experience in health, disability, or patient advocacy — with an understanding of the challenges young adults with chronic illnesses face

  • A genuine connection to our mission — and a deep belief in the power of community

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: $40-$45 per hour

  • Flexible hybrid work environment

  • Health stipend

  • Professional development opportunities
