Retreat Frequently Asked Questions

The retreat is open to young adults ages 18-40 living with Multiple Sclerosis. While most of our community is based in the United States, we welcome participants from around the world. If you are traveling from outside the U.S., you are responsible for researching and completing all entry requirements as a tourist, which may include obtaining a visa or other travel authorization. MS, I’mpossible is unable to assist with this process, so please plan accordingly before registering.

We understand that traveling brings its own set of challenges and anxieties. If this is your first retreat with MS, I’mpossible, you are welcome to bring a parent, partner, or aide to support you on your trip. Guests are welcome to join most of our retreat activities and stay in a hotel room with you, but MS, I’mpossible can’t financially support their travel.
If this is not your first retreat, we highly encourage you to attend without a guest to allow room for newcomers. If you would still like to bring a guest, please arrange for their own travel and accommodations.

Registration is a two-step process. First, please complete this registration form. Second, attend our required virtual all-community orientation session hosted on May 7th at 5pm PST/8pm EST.
If you cannot attend this orientation, please contact Joey as soon as possible at joey@ms-impossible.org to arrange an alternative.

Participants are assigned to shared rooms, with two people per room. We make every effort to accommodate your preferences, which we encourage you to detail in the registration form. If you require a private room for medical or other reasons, please indicate this in your registration, and our team will follow up with you directly. While we will do our best to meet these requests, we cannot guarantee private accommodations due to hotel availability.

MS, I’mpossible fully covers the cost of attending the retreat. While you are in Seattle, MS, I’mpossible covers transportation to scheduled events, lodging, and meals. Please note that incidental expenses, such as gifts, souvenirs, or personal purchases, are not covered. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their travel to and from Seattle.

If getting to Seattle for the retreat is a barrier, please indicate that on your registration form, and we will follow up to discuss. We are able to offer a limited number of travel awards of up to $400 each.

We host a monthly virtual meetup on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, which is a great time to meet the community, ask questions, and get to know your potential retreat buddies.
We also will be hosting 3 orientation sessions leading up to the event: a mandatory orientation on May 7th, and optional orientations on July 16th and September 8th. These are great opportunities to meet new people attending the retreat, ask questions, and understand the full expectations for the retreat.

If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another participant. Registration closes on August 19, and a final attendee count is required by that date.
